Money Matters

Money Matters is one of our grant funded programs for 4th-8th grade students. Through this program, members learn the basics of banking, budgeting, and investing. During the program members are responsible for their “accounts” and they learn how to balance income, expenses, and how to invest money. Some days they lose money from their account and some days their investments turn out to be profitable. Learning how to handle money at a younger age can prove to be invaluable and we usually have a pretty good time doing it!

To kick it up a notch, those who graduate Money Matters have helped run a Club Store. Members track inventory, decide margins, set prices, and then purchase fresh or new items! Some of our younger kids can earn Club Bucks by sweeping or doing some extra cleaning and spend that money at the  Club store!
