Ways to Give

Open the Door to Great Futures

Without the help of program partners, sponsors and other donors, the good works of your community's Boys & Girls Club would not be possible. We rely on the financial and volunteer support of the entire community to keep our life improvement programs and services available to the families that depend on us. Our Boys & Girls Club is proud to say that with the help from many individuals, businesses, the annual Montrose Wine & Food Festival, community service groups, and grants from private foundations and the State of Colorado that we have been able to keep our membership cost affordable throughout our history. The current fee is $25 for the school year, and $45 per each four week summer session.
The future starts with our community’s young people - and with you! Working together, we will give our youth and our community a sense of hope, a sense of opportunity, and a sense that anything is possible. We welcome your support in the form of time, treasury and talent. Please contact one of our Board Members or our Executive Director, Martin Barrett, to discuss in detail your thoughts and ideas on how you and/or your family, company or foundation would like to help our organization. Gift are accepted in the form of cash, property and secured credit card processing.

Endow Great Futures

Planned Giving

Be a Great Futures Partner in perpetuity by ensuring that the future needs of our youth are met by including the Black Canyon Boys & Girls Clubs in your long-term philanthropic plans. An accumulation of planned gifts would provide our Club with financial security ensuring that we would be able to continue to provide vital programs and guidance for the children of Montrose County for decades and beyond. This approach to giving may include immediate gifts to the Club in the form of liquid assets or those assets that can be made liquid in a relatively short time period such as cash, stocks, IRA’s, real estate and art. Once converted to cash, these funds would be placed under the restrictions of an endowment fund that focuses on both growth and income. Additionally, a formal planning process can be completed with your attorney and/or C.P.A. to establish a gift that transfers at a future date involving real estate, a business, a charitable gift annuity, a trust arrangement, a life insurance policy or other assets that you’d like to transfer to the Club in the future. If you’d like to learn more about our endowment program or if you have already designated the Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club to be the recipient of any such gifts, please contact Martin Barrett, Executive Director @ btaylor@bcbgc.org or (970) 249-5168.

The Heritage Society

The Heritage Club is a national deferred giving society used to recognize individuals who have included a Boys & Girls Club in their estate plans through a will, beneficiary designation or other deferred giving technique. Marketing materials, pins, plaques and a national Heritage Club annual report are available through BGCA. Clubs that already have a recognition society are encouraged to identify this group as their “founding members” of The Heritage Club so that they can take full advantage of the national recognition available to their donors.

The Jeremiah Milbank Society

National Recognition for Giving

Jeremiah Milbank was a remarkable person and lifelong volunteer who gave generously to his firm belief in the Boys & Girls Club programs. It is through his legacy that Boys & Girls Clubs of America has created The Jeremiah Milbank Society as a way to pay tribute to local Club donors on a national level.
The Jeremiah Milbank Society recognizes donors who make unrestricted annual gifts of $10,000 or more to the Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club. Funding from these donors helps Clubs provide core services and programs to positively impact young people each and every day. We salute all of the generous, engaged and passionate members of The Jeremiah Milbank Society across the country, and encourage others to follow their lead. To learn more about joining the Jeremiah Milbank Society, contact Martin Barrett, Executive Director @ btaylor@bcbgc.org or (970) 249-5168.
